You open this Advanced panel by clicking the receiver
or transceiver EyeQ button
on the Receiver Channels
tab or Transceiver Links
tab of the Transceiver Toolkit.
Allows you to control and monitor high-speed serial link EyeQ
tests, which displays test results as either a bathtub curve or eye
contour that represents monitored bit error and phase offset data.
If you make physical media attachment (PMA) settings or hardware
changes, you should click Reset and restart the test from the
beginning. The following options are available.
- Checker mode—Allows you to choose between the Data pattern checker or Serial bit comparator. This feature is available when you turn on Enable EyeQ block and
Enable Bit Error Rate Block in the Transceiver Reconfiguration Controller.
Note:
- You do not need a Data Pattern Checker in the design when
you use the Serial Bit
Comparator.
- If you are using a link, selecting a PRBS
pattern will still send that pattern from the Data Pattern Generator, but the pattern
is checked by the Serial Bit
Comparator.
- In Bypass mode, clicking Start does not start the Data Pattern Generator, but begins
counting on the Serial Bit
Comparator.
- Run length—Specifies the following options for testing:
-
Time limit
-
Maximum tested bits
-
Error rate limit: Start checking
after
-
Bit error rate achieves below
-
Bit error rate exceeds
- Receiver settings—Allows you to control receiver settings during EyeQ tests.
- Transmitter settings—Allows you to control transmitter settings during EyeQ tests.
- EyeQ settings—Specifies settings that determine the display of EyeQ test results.
- EyeQ status—Displays a graphical
representation of signal integrity as an eye contour or bathtub
curve plot.
- Run table—Lists the statistics of
each EyeQ test run. The run table is sortable. You can right-click
any of the tests in the table and then click Apply Settings
to Device to quickly apply
the chosen PMA settings to your device. You can click Import
to load reports from previously
generated EyeQ runs into the run table. You can click Export
to export single or multiple
runs from the run table to a report.
- Create Report—Opens the Report
panel, which lists EyeQ
runs.
