The IP Components tab displays the design files that make up the IP instantiated in the project, including Altera IP cores and megafunctions, Qsys components, and third-party IPs. The IP Components tab is empty until you run analysis and synthesis on the design.
Columns in the IP Components tab show the status of Altera IP, entity name, IP component name, version of the tools that created the IP component, IP file name, and vendor that provided the IP component.
The Status column displays icons that indicate whether Altera IP is up-to-date or should be regenerated. If your project contains IP components that you created in an earlier version of the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software, you need to regenerate them or open a parameter editor to edit the IP in order for your design to compile successfully.
