Allows you to specify assignment import options.
- Importedassignments do not
exist in current project— If the assignment
file you are importing contains assignments not in the current
project, this option allows those assignments to be created in the
project. Assignments are imported from the Quartus Prime Standard Edition Settings File (.qsf) Definition or
files that you specified in the Assignment source box in the Import
Assignments dialog box. If the current compilation hierarchy
contains multiple instances of an entity, the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition
software instantiates one set of assignments for each
instance.
Note:
There are certain situations in which you may want to turn off the
Imported assignments do not exist
in current project option. For example, when you import
LogicLock assignments which create new regions in the target
project. Thereafter, in the course of developing your project, you
remove some of the imported LogicLock regions, but eventually need
to reimport the others. You would turn off this option, to ensure
that the deleted regions are not recreated during the
reimportation.
- Importedassignments
overwrite any conflicting assignments—
Existing assignment values in the target project are replaced with
the values in the assignment file you are importing. The
Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software reimports all non-LogicLock assignments,
and all assignments for the region(s) currently selected in the
LogicLock Regions window, into the current project. This option can
be used to update LogicLock regions that were previously imported
and have not been renamed since they were imported. When you choose
this option, the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software does not update the
region's child LogicLock regions unless those regions are also
selected in the hierarchy.
- Imported entity assignments
replace current entity assignments— Deletes
matching entity assignments in the target project before importing
new assignments. When this option is turned on, assignments in the
assignment categories turned on in the Available assignment
categories list that
have matching assignments in the imported assignments file, are
replaced with the assignments in the imported file. However,
assignment categories turned off in the Available assignment
categories list that do not have matching assignments in the
imported assignments file are deleted without new assignments being
imported.
Important: Important: If you turn on this option,
you may lose assignments.
