CDC is a fully C ustomizable D isplay C ontroller IP supporting the OpenWF display API specification. Several features - such as the number od supported input layers - can be configured at synthesis time and controlled via the CDCs software API at run time. The main functionality of CDC is reading images (layers) from memory, combining them on-the-fly e.g. by blending, cropping and windowing and generating a video output stream of the combined image. On the output the controller provides a digital RGB signal with video data and signals for horizontal/vertical blank and synchronization. Optionally a digital component (YC B C R ) output signal can be configured at synthesis time. The CDC ’s output typically is then connected with the physical display output block like an HDMI our LVDS IP block or a Video DAC. The CDC display controller family includes resource optimized variants up to feature rich variants including on-the-fly rotation of the output image. The D/AVE HD GPU family is an evolution of the D/AVE 2D family supporting high quality 2D rendering and fixed function 3D rendering for displays up to 4K x 4K. Targeting modern graphics applications on high resolution displays in the Industrial, Medical, Military, Avionics, Automotive and Consumer markets, D/AVE HD is designed to be fast with powerful functionality. In addition, it is configurable and optimizable regarding size and footprint. The footprint optimized variants are the ideal choice e.g. for feature rich 2D/3D Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) e.g. in test&measurement products, wearables and IoT devices, while the fully featured variants target performance demanding graphics in professional and high-end consumer electronics applications. D/AVE HD is available for both FPGA and ASIC integration with high customizability and scalability and already silicon proven e.g. in automotive products. TES Warping Engine is a specialized IP core for arbitrary high-performance re-mapping of bitmaps from memory to memory. Applications are for example pre-warping for projection on head-up displays or fisheye-correction of camera images. The IP core adapts to different bus interfaces like AMBA APB and AHB/AXI as well as the Intel PSG Avalon bus interface at different bus width (e.g. 32, 64, 128 bits). D/AVE NX is the latest and most powerful addition to the D/AVE family of rendering cores. It is the first IP to bring full OpenGL ES 2.0/3.1 and VULKAN rendering to the FPGA and SoC world and is prepared to support OpenGL SC (Safety Critical). Targeting graphics user interfaces on displays up to 4K x 4K resolution in the Industrial, Medical, Military, Avionics, Automotive and Consumer markets D/AVE NX is designed to meet the sweet spot of performance, footprint and functional safety. By enabling the use of state of the art shader based APIs even on small devices high quality 2D and full 3D applications can be satisfied using the D/AVE NX core. The possibility to work with a modern graphics programming language like OpenGL ES 2.0 enables the user to rapidly build high-end user interfaces (e.g. based on QT, Android or WebGL) and makes new, future proof implementations possible. The D/AVE NX IP core can scale easily to fit exactly into the resource/performance sweet spot for a particular application. Thus entire device families can be equipped with differently scaled variants of the core, making all of them fully software compatible. A single unified software stack and the guarantee to produce exactly the same visual result (at different speeds) allows saving significant development resources. D/AVE NX is highly efficient as the internal multi-level scheduler can maximize the utilization of every HW element even better than the fixed function pipeline of the successful D/AVE cores could. Scheduling also does not have to be pre-computed in the compiler simplifying the compiler and driver architecture considerably. CVI is a fully C ustomizable V ideo I nput controller IP core. The video input controller can be applied to e.g. FPGA systems with a resource optimized, application specific feature configuration or to ASIC projects applying a more generic feature set and thus more flexibility. The main functionality of CVI is reading an ITU-656 video input stream typically coming from a physical video input interface, e.g. a LVDS PHY or a video ADC, and writing the video data in RGB format to memory via DMA. Several on-the-fly operations on the video data can be applied such as clipping, scaling, color conversion, gamma correction, dithering and de-interlacing. On the input side CVI can accept RGB as well as YC B C R color formats, in the latter case applying the on-the-fly conversion YC B C R to RGB.
