From encrypted communication between two offices to data security (information security) and cloud services, we offer a comprehensive range of products in the field of IT networks. High availability and data security through high-availability systems - If a server fails due to a hardware defect (disk error, mainboard error), troubleshooting and repair usually takes a few hours. If a spare part is not available from stock, a server failure can take even longer. Thanks to a high availability server system (hyperconverged system), this failure can be minimized or intercepted. Servers in the SME sector are usually equipped with local hard disks. The data on these hard disks is protected against the failure of individual hard disks by a RAID array. However, hardware defects of mainboard, processor or RAM still lead to longer server downtimes. In the high availability server system, on the other hand, data is also stored redundantly across servers. The architecture is based on the principle of hyperconverged systems. The entire data storage is always available to both physical servers. In the event of a server hardware failure, the affected virtual machines are immediately started automatically on the physical server that is still running (depending on the license model, manual startup may be necessary). The operational interruption is thus reduced to a minimum. The use of a server with high availability does not replace data backup. Especially for off-site data storage and archiving and versioning of data, a backup should be created.
