AN 761: Board Management Controller

External Hardware Requirement

The Intel® MAX® 10 FPGA Development Board does not integrate a DC fan or PMBus-based power module. You need to connect these components through an external hardware. Intel recommends using the Intel Intel® Enpirion® Power SoC in this design example.

You can control the speed of the DC fan by varying the duty cycle of the pulse width modulation (PWM).
