4.2.4. Installing Device Support to Existing Installation

Once you complete downloading device support, follow these steps to install it to an existing Altera® FPGA software package:
  1. Ensure the files are downloaded completely before beginning the installation process.
  2. Start the Quartus® Prime software.
  3. Click Tools > Install Devices to open the Installation Wizard. If you do not see the Install Devices option, then on the Windows* Start menu, go to Altera® FPGA <version number> <Lite/Standard/Pro> Edition > Device Installer.
  4. Install in the same location as the Quartus® Prime software.
