4.1.1. Downloading the Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL and the SoC EDS
To get started with the Intel® FPGA RTE for OpenCL™ Pro Edition on the Intel® Arria® 10 SoC Development Kit, download the Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL Pro Edition and the SoC EDS Pro Edition for Windows from the Intel® FPGA Download Center.
The SDK includes the SD card image you need to recompile the OpenCL Linux kernel driver. If you want to recompile the Linux kernel driver and write the SD card image on your own, download the RTE for SoC instead.
- To download the SDK, follow the instructions outlined in the Downloading the Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL Pro Edition section of the Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL Pro Edition Getting Started Guide.
- To download the RTE, perform the following tasks:
- Visit the FPGA Software Download Center page.
- Using the left-hand filter pane, perform the following steps to refine the search results:
- Select the Intel® Quartus® Prime Design Software option. This displays three Intel® Quartus® Prime software editions (Pro, Standard, or Lite).
- Select the desired Intel® Quartus® Prime software edition. This displays a list of supported software versions.
- Select the desired Intel® Quartus® Prime software release version.
- Select the operating system (Windows*).
- In the refined list of pages, click the desired Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL™ Pro Edition software version page to download the software. The product download page appears.
- Select the RTE tab.
- Refer to the Download and install instructions section to view the download and installation procedure.
- Click the download button for Intel® FPGA Runtime Environment for OpenCL Linux ARM SoC TGZ.
- Accept the Software License Agreement to start the download process.
- Perform the steps outlined in the download and installation instructions on the download page.
- Download the SoC EDS by performing the following steps:
- Visit the FPGA Software Download Center.
- Using the left-hand filter page, perform these steps:
- Under the Intel® Quartus Software section, select Intel® Quartus Prime Design Software > Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition .
- Under the Additional Software section, select Intel® SoC FPGA Embedded Development Suite (SoC EDS).
- Under the Operating System section, select Microsoft Windows*.
- In the refined list of pages, click the desired Intel SoC FPGA Embedded Development Suite Pro Edition page to view the download page for the subscription edition of the SoC EDS.
- Under Software Download section, click the download button for Intel® SoC FPGA Embedded Development Suite Pro Edition.
- Accept the Software License Agreement. Download starts automatically.
- Perform the steps outlined in the download and installation instructions.
