Intel® Platform Service Record (Intel® PSR)
Overview
The Intel® Platform Service Record (Intel® PSR) provides on-platform persistent and tamper-resistant ledgers and counters of the following items belonging to the platform:
- Platform identity and genesis details including original equipment manufacturer (OEM) information and platform service record log start time
- Platform chassis intrusion
- Platform S0 cumulative operation usage and power on or reset cycle
- Intel® Unique Platform ID (Intel® UPID) dependencies and inclusion of Intel UPID within Intel PSR
Intel® Converged Security and Management Engine (Intel® CSME) provides an API over the Intel® Management Engine Interface (Intel® MEI), available both before and after POST, that allows the Intel PSR data to be retrieved in a data-structured blob.
Intel PSR provides indicators that it has been authentically generated by the platform. It also provides detection of the Intel PSR ledger and counter tampering resulting from an attempted replay attack, wipe, or manipulation of the applicable ledgers and counters.
