Interview with Gareth Edwards, BAFTA Award-Winning Film Director and Producer

"I jumped in and started testing it... I started doing some temp FX shots and as I was working I was thinking ... well, this is all really good, but it seems not much different to my usual projects.... then, all of a sudden I remembered, everything I was doing was at full uncompressed cinema resolution!! It was working with the footage so fluidly, that I honestly forgot and my mind was subconsciously comparing it to my normal projects using regular TV standard def... which was pretty remarkable! If it was struggling, I’d have instantly realised, but it didn’t at all, so it felt like driving an old familiar car. So perhaps the transition from TV to film is not going to be that painful thanks to this machine!!?" -- Gareth Edwards, award-winning film director and producer
