Setting up Programming Hardware in MAX+PLUS® II Software
Product Discontinuance Notifications
Intel has discontinued the Quartus® II and MAX+PLUS® II Software. More details are available at Quartus® II and MAX+PLUS® II Software product discontinuance notifications and list of discontinued additional software.
Drivers are required for some Intel® FPGA programming hardware. If you have not already done so, check the cable and adapter drivers information to determine whether a driver is required. If a driver is required, install it before continuing with the steps below.
Hardware Setup
- Start the MAX+PLUS II software.
- Choose Programmer from the MAX+PLUS II menu. The programmer window will open. Note: If you get a message saying "Programming hardware is not installed" click OK.
- Choose Hardware Setup from the Options menu.
- Choose the appropriate programming cable or programming hardware from the Hardware Type drop-down list. If necessary, choose the appropriate I/O address, RS-232 port, baud rate, or parallel port as well.
- Click OK.
- Your programming hardware is now set up.
