    Description

    Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 20.1.1 and earlier, you may see this error during compilation in the fitter stage when ADVANCED_PHYSICAL_OPTIMIZATION is enabled for Stratix® IV devices.

    Resolution

    To work around this problem, disable the ADVANCED_PHYSICAL_OPTIMIZATION option and rerun the compilation.

    This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 21.1 .
