Critical Issue
The latest device firmware for the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.2 can be downloaded from the links below.
Fixes for the following problems are included in the latest release (The latest release includes all prior fixes and supersedes earlier device firmware releases):
Change log:
Patch# 0.06fw:
This patch fixes the following issues
- Failure to recover from ASx4 bitstream interruption on Intel® Stratix® 10 and Intel Agilex® devices.
- Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA device manager hangs causing JTAG and PR reconfiguration issues.
- Remote System Update (RSU): Failure to load an image with RSU error state 0xf0040074.
- Fcs_client unable to do decryption after the power cycle.
Patch# 0.17fw:
This patch enables the SDM Mailbox command GET_ROM_PATCH_SHA384 for Intel® eASIC™ N5X devices.
Patch# 0.31fw:
This patch fixes a problem on Intel® eASIC™ devices by changing the sampling strategy of the TRNG to ensure the random numbers are in an acceptable range and are not rejected.
Patch# 0.46fw:
This fixes the following two problems:
- M20K functional error in the Partial Reconfiguration Region after partial reconfiguration on Intel Agilex devices. The affected M20K is not used in the design before partial reconfiguration. [Bug/feature tracking number: 15011390636].
- HPS boot instability or unexpected functional failures due to memory corruption because of erroneously disabled HPS RAM repair functionality. [Bug/feature tracking number: 15011397500].
Patch# 0.50fw:
- SHA mismatch errors and AVSTx8 configuration failures when using an encrypted bitstream.
- Quartus programmer support to load provisioning firmware via AVSTx8 using PFL-II IP
- Internal error where a complex design's SMH contain critical and non critical bit in every region.
- Internal error caused by changing a existing device on a JTAG chain with different device family and subsequently start the device programming.
- Intel Agilex FPGA CvP update failure after QSPI operation through mailbox IP.
- Intel Stratix 10 FPGA fails to boot to FSBL after reboot in Linux, if a combined Application image from Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.2 and later is used.
Patch# 0.51fw:
- The RSU fails to recover after using an incorrect device application image.
- During 2x8 bifurcation mode, refclk1 is not present because PCIe0 can not be identified after reboot.
- Resolve an intermittent Partial Reconfiguration (PR) failure, where the SDM hangs due to a race condition between config and mailbox tasks.
