Why the pre-emphasis setting in Intel Stratix 10 FPGA IBIS model always turned “ON”?

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
    • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

    Intel Stratix 10 FPGA IBIS models generated with I/O standard of DSSTL12, DPOD12, POD12 or SSTL12 output and Rs termination with pre-emphasis I/O settings always shows pre-emphasis “ON” behavior regardless of the I/O settings.

    This is due to bug in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 17.1.

    Resolution

    A patch is available to fix this problem for the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 17.1. Download and install patch 0.25 from the following links:
