Will the gated lock circuitry operate if the PLL loses lock and is not reset in Stratix II and Stratix II GX devices?

Description

No, the gated lock circuitry will not operate if the PLL loses lock and if the PLL is not reset in Stratix® II and Stratix II GX devices. The gated lock circuitry operates when the PLL is acquiring lock for the first time or if you reset the PLL after it loses the lock during user mode operation.

The gated lock circuitry has a counter which also needs to be reset in order for it to operate. Resetting the PLL also resets the counter ensuring correct operation for the gated lock circuitry.
