What is the impact of the recent changes on the Transmitter Channel-to-channel Skew (TCCS) and Sampling Window (SW) value in the Quartus II software version 10.1 SP1?

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 10.1 and earlier, the TCCS and SW values for LVDS SERDES reported in the TimeQuest Timing Analyzer for Arria II GX devices do not match the Arria II device datasheet specifications.

These values have been updated in the Quartus II software version 10.1 SP1. To obtain the updated TCCS number and the improved RSKM value, perform timing analysis using the TimeQuest Timing Analyzer in Quartus II software version 10.1 SP1 or later.

The changes in TCCS and SW value have no impact on the PCB trace length compensation. No action is required for designs that have closed timing.
