    Description Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 11.1 SP1, this error may be seen in Stratix® V designs that use M20K memory blocks with the Error Correction Coding (ECC) feature if the data width is not equal to 32. The M20K memory block only supports the ECC feature when the data width is 32. The MegaWizard™ Plug-in Manager incorrectly allows a data width other than 32 to be selected when the ECC feature is enabled.
    Resolution

    To avoid this problem, change the data width of M20K memory blocks that use the ECC feature to 32 or disable the ECC feature.

    This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 12.0.
