What is the power up current required by Stratix II, Stratix II GX, Cyclone II, Cyclone III, and Arria GX devices when first powered up, and when configured?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

There is no specific power up current requirement for Stratix® II, Stratix II GX, Cyclone® II, Cyclone III and Arria® GX devices. Current will ramp up to the standby (static) current during power up. The power up current will never be more than the standby current.

The current draw during configuration will always be less than the operational current (dynamic current) for the device.

To estimate current requirements for your particular device use the PowerPlay Early Power Estimator (EPE) tool or the Quartus® II software PowerPlay Power Analyzer tool.
