Warning: "Node &ltnode_name&gt has assignments but doesn't exist or is a primitive array." (MAX PLUS® II)

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description You may receive this warning after performing a back-annotation on your design that does not include all of the following assignments:

Chip, Logic Cell, Pin, and Device

When a back annotation is performed, all the information from the Fit File (.fit) is copied to the Assignment & Configuration File (.acf), regardless of the option which has been chosen in the Back Annotation dialog box. However, when choosing an option other than Chip, Logic Cell, Pin, and Device, the assignments that are not selected for back-annotation are saved with the following statement:

LOCATION = ANY;

These assignments are the cause of the warning messages that appear during later compilations. However, these warnings will not cause errors in the compilation process or affect the functionality of your design.

You can eliminate the warning messages by manually deleting any LOCATION = ANY; lines of code from your ACF.
