Arria 10 device secondary files are not created during design compilation

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT

    Critical Issue

    Description

In the Quartus II software, when a design successfully compiles and writes an SRAM Object File (.sof), the secondary programing files such as Raw Binary Files (.rbf) and Programmer Object Files (.pof) should be generated based on your selection in the Device and Pins Options > Programming Files dialog panel. However, the Quartus II software release version 15.0 does not create the secondary files for the Arria 10 device.

    Resolution

You must use the Convert Programming Files tool to create the secondary programming files.
