Why does "link_up_tx" keep toggling on my Seriallite III core?

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
  • Serial Lite III Streaming Intel® Arria® 10 FPGA IP
  • Serial Lite III Streaming Intel® FPGA IP
    • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

    Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime software version 16.1 and earlier, you may see "link_up_tx" toggling on your Seriallite III core, indicating that the link is not up.

    Resolution

    This problem has been fixed beginning with Quartus Prime software version 16.1.2.
