Yes, if your project uses calibrated series or parallel on-chip termination (OCT), you can generate calibrated OCT IBIS models for Stratix® V and Arria® V devices using the Quartus® II software versions 12.0 and 12.1. Note that not all values of calibrated OCT IBIS models are supported in the Quartus II software versions 12.0 and 12.1, but are scheduled to be supported in future versions of the Quartus II software.
Due to a problem in the Quartus II software versions 12.0 and 12.1, if you turn on the Enable model selector option in the EDA Tool Settings: Board-Level category of the Settings dialog box, the generated IBIS file does not include the calibrated series or parallel OCT models.
To avoid this problem, do not turn on the Enable model selector option when generating IBIS models for Stratix V and Arria V devices if you are using calibrated OCT. By turning this option off, the EDA Netlist Writer creates IBIS models only for the programmable options you select in your design.
Alternatively, run the EDA Netlist Writer twice, once with the Enable model selector option turned on and once with the option turned off. Rename the IBIS Output Files (.ibs) to prevent them from being overwritten each time you run the EDA Netlist Writer.
When using the Quartus II software beginning with version 13.0, all of the available IBIS models including calibrated OCT for each input or output pin are generated when the Enable model selector option is enabled.
If your design contains bidirectional pins with parallel OCT enabled, see the related solution below.
