Describes a known issue where Ansys Discovery* does not complete simulation workloads using the Built-In Intel® Arc™ Pro GPU and Inte® Arc™ Pro discrete Graphics on Windows® 10 and Windows 11*.
Description
When trying to run the Explore stage of Ansys Discovery* with Intel® Arc™ Pro Graphics simulation analysis workloads, the process will fail.
The Model stage of Ansys Discovery* (modeling tools and workflows) is supported, allowing modeling tasks to be completed as expected by Ansys*.
The Refine stage is also compatible, but the use of the LiveGX solver is not supported.
Resolution
This is expected behavior. Ansys Discovery* simulation solvers (the Explore stage) use proprietary CUDA code and, therefore, do not support Built-In or Discrete Intel® Arc™ Pro GPUs.
