Intel Graphics Driver Installer Error Codes
Whenever the installer runs into an error while installing the driver, an error code is generated and shown at the end of the failed installation.
The meaning of each code is the following:
| Error Code | Meaning |
SUCCESS = 0 | Driver installation process completed without errors. |
ERROR = 1 | General error, when something went wrong during the installation process, and none of the below errors apply to this situation. For more data, check the log file. |
REBOOTING_SYSTEM = 2 | Driver installation process went without errors, but system had to trigger a platform restart. |
PLATFORM_UNSUPPORTED = 5 | Operating system or a device on the platform is not supported by the driver. Download the correct driver from intel.com. |
CLOSED_BY_USER = 6 | Driver installation didn't happen. Installer has been closed before or during driver installation. |
ERROR_BAD_COMMAND = 7 | Installer has been launched thought a command line prompt with an unsupported parameter. For details, check the installer command line help. |
DRIVER_FILE_NOT_FOUND = 8 | Installer couldn't find INF files in driver bundle. Download the driver from intel.com again. |
DRIVER_DIGITAL_SIGNATURE_MISSING = 9 | Some of the driver related files have been modified and do not have an Intel digital signature. Download the driver from intel.com again. |
EXTRAS_DIGITAL_SIGNATURE_MISSING = 10 | Some of the components in the "Resource" folder have been modified and do not have an Intel digital signature. Download the driver from intel.com again. |
INSUFFICIENT_DISK_SPACE = 11 | There is no free space on the platform to install the driver. Enlarge free space on the disk and try again. |
REBOOT_REQUIRED_BEFORE_SETUP = 13 | To continue driver installation, the system must be restarted. Restart the platform and try again. |
REBOOT_REQUIRED = 14 | Driver installation process went without any errors. However, to apply all required settings and changes the user must restart the platform. |
