I don't understand what a clean driver installation is.
In the common driver update process the installer will overwrite existing driver files and dependencies.
A clean driver installation refers to the action of removing all the device drivers and files BEFORE installing the new ones.
Specifically for graphics and audio drivers: The Intel Graphics installer allows you to customize your installation, including an option to perform a clean driver installation.
Note: if there was a 3rd party video card previously installed the Intel Graphics installer does not remove drivers and files for it. You can ensure you do a clean driver installation using the Device Driver Uninstaller software.
