Intel® Arc™ Control Software Not Installing

Description

When installing the driver for Intel® Arc™ GPUs the installer will complete the installation of the driver and it will report at the end of the installation that the Intel® Arc™ was not installed with a red X next to the version of the software.

Resolution

Do a clean driver installation using Display Driver Uninstaller:
1. Uninstall the current driver using Display Driver Uninstaller. Check for How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver instructions.
2. Go to the Download Center and download the latest driver available.
3. While the system is in safe mode, install the driver on the system. Check How to Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 & Windows 11 for installation instructions.
4. Restart the system.
Disable the integrated GPU from the motherboard's Bios. Once disabled complete the same instructions as outlined in step 1. Contact the motherboard manufacturer for instructions to disable the integrated GPU.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, do a fresh installation of the Operating System. Contact Microsoft for installation instructions.
