Steps to resolve issues with Intel® Arc™ Control Software not installing.
Description
When installing the driver for Intel® Arc™ GPUs the installer will complete the installation of the driver and it will report at the end of the installation that the Intel® Arc™ was not installed with a red X next to the version of the software.
Resolution
- Do a clean driver installation using Display Driver Uninstaller:
- Uninstall the current driver using Display Driver Uninstaller. Check for How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver instructions.
- Go to the Download Center and download the latest driver available.
- While the system is in safe mode, install the driver on the system. Check How to Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 & Windows 11 for installation instructions.
- Restart the system.
- Disable the integrated GPU from the motherboard's Bios. Once disabled complete the same instructions as outlined in step 1. Contact the motherboard manufacturer for instructions to disable the integrated GPU.
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, do a fresh installation of the Operating System. Contact Microsoft for installation instructions.
