Intel® Arc™ Control Software Shows Resizable BAR as “General-Not-Supported”

Describes issue in which Resizable BAR is reported as not enabled or supported even when it is properly enabled in BIOS.

Description

When using Intel® Arc™ Graphics cards with platforms (Intel or AMD) supporting Resizable BAR the application, Intel® Arc™ Control shows the feature to be disabled.

Resizable BAR not supported

Resolution

Intel is investigating this issue. It appears to be aesthetic in nature since Resizable BAR is enabled (you can confirm by checking with a 3rd party application such as GPU-Z).

In AMD platform, as a temporary workaround, try the following:

  1. Update BIOS (contact computer/motherboard manufacturer for assistance).
  2. Boot into BIOS.
  3. Disable Above 4G Decodin' and Resizable BAR support options.
  4. Disable Secure Virtual Machine (SVM) option.
  5. Save and Exit.
  6. Restart the computer.
  7. Boot into BIOS.
  8. Re-enable Above 4G Decoding and Resizable BAR support.
  9. Save and Exit.
  10. Restart the computer.
  11. Boot into Windows and verify if Arc Control reports Resizable BAR as supported.
