Description
- Ran OpenVINO™ inference on Intel® Neural Compute Stick 2 (Intel® NCS2) continuously for more than 24 Hours.
- Received error message: Failed to read output from FIFO: NC_ERROR after some time sporadically which stops the inference.
Resolution
The error occurs due to power delivery issue to Intel® NCS2.
Steps to avoid the error:
- Connect NCS2 securely to the USB port.
- Connect NCS2 directly to a USB 3.0 port instead of a USB hub.
- Connect NCS2 to a powered USB hub.
- Disconnect other unnecessary devices from the USB ports.
