Compatibility of Intel® Core™ Desktop Processors (12th, 13th and 14th gen)
12th Generation Intel® Desktop Processors , 13th Generation Intel® Desktop Processors and Intel® Core™ Desktop processors (14th gen) use the LGA1700 socket and require motherboards based on Intel® 600 Series Desktop Chipset or Intel® 700 Series Desktop Chipsets.
These processors aren't compatible with motherboards based on Intel® 500 Series Desktop Chipsets, Intel® 400 Series Desktop Chipset, Intel® 300 Series Chipset, Intel® 200 Series Chipset, Intel® 100 Series Chipset, or the latest Intel® 800 Series Desktop Chipsets.
Similarly, 11th Gen, 10th Gen, 9th Gen, 8th Gen, 7th Gen, 6th Generation Intel® Desktop Processors aren't compatible with the Intel® 600 Series Desktop Chipset or Intel® 700 Series Desktop Chipsets.
Both Intel® Core™ Desktop Processors (13th and 14th gen) support DDR5 (Up to 4800/5600 MTs) & DDR4 (Up to 3200 MT/s) speeds. While the 12th Generation Intel® Desktop Processors support DDR5 (Up to 4800 MT/s) & DDR4 (Up to 3200 MT/s) speeds.
