Why Is the Intel® NUC Laptop’s Touchpad Not Working?

Operating System

Windows 11* Family, Windows® 10 family

Description

The touchpad on the Intel® NUC does not function properly. Reinstalling the Operating System does not resolve the issue.

Resolution

Download and Install the Intel® NUC X15 Laptop Kit - LAPKCx1x - Driver Pack. For  Intel® NUC M15 laptop download  Driver Pack for the Intel® NUC M15 Laptop Kit - LAPRC710 & LAPRC510.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, try the following:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Select Settings > Windows Update.
  3. Click Check for Updates and wait Windows Update download and install all updates (Make sure the network connection is working).
  4. Reboot operating system.
  5. Press Fn+ F7 double click Touchpad Switch with LED to toggle touchpad switch.

Check if the Touchpad is enabled in the Windows Settings:

  1. Open Windows settings.
  2. Locate Bluetooth & Devices in the left panel of the Windows Settings and click it.
  3. Scroll down until you see Touchpad and click it.
  4. Check if the Touchpad is enabled.
NoteIf the Touchpad is not enabled in the Windows settings the Fn+F7 or double click Touchpad Switch with LED will not work.
