Description
A system fan is not working or it is very slow and there are critical fan alerts:
Non-redundant:Sufficient Resources from Redundant
Redundancy Lost
Lower Critical - going low
Resolution
- Re-seat the fan. Refer to the server board/system service guide for instructions on the fan install process.
- Swap with a good working fan.
- Contact Support with the system event logs. Refer to User Guide for Intel System Information Retrieval Utility (Sysinfo) for the instructions. Alternatively, if access to the Intel® Integrated BMC Web Console is available, generate the SEL logs from within the Server Health->Event Log->Save Event Log section.
