Description

An error message shows up when trying to run the SSD selftest using the Intel® MAS command line, indicating that the drive does not support this feature.

  • intelmas start -intelssd 0 -selftest extended
  • Error : Device does not support this command set
Resolution

The selftest command was introduced for the Intel® Optane DC SSD P5800X series, and is not supported on the P4800X series or other Optane SSDs.
