Steps to recover the server from a sudden shut-down
The server shut down with a Soft Power Control Failure event suddenly.
- Ensure the server Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is the latest. See BIOS Update for Intel® Server Boards
- Verify all power cables and adapters are connected properly [electrical outlet power cables as well as those between the power supply units (PSUs) and system components].
- Cross-test the PSUs, if possible.
