Troubleshooting steps to eliminate the caution pop-up window on the BMC console login
When trying to access the BMC, after putting in Username/Password, a caution box appears and there is nothing in it.
When one closes out of the Caution box, the window reverts back to the login screen.
Perform a clean, cold boot-up of the system as follows:
- Shut down the server.
- Unplug the power cord(s).
- Wait for 30 seconds, at least.
- Plug the power cord(s), again.
- Start up the server.
- Once it boots up, proceed to log back into the BMC once more.
Or
Perform a BMC Cold reset by sending below commands using ipmitool from a remote system.
ipmitool -I lanplus -H [IP Address] -U [user] -P [password] -C 17 -N 5 bmc reset cold
