Intel® SST-PP is missing if Dynamic Intel® SST-PP is enabled

Description

Unable to find Intel® SST-PP in BIOS. How can this be enabled?

Resolution

Intel® SST-PP option under BIOS> Advanced> Power and Performance >CPU P state control in the Intel® Server System M50CYP Family.

This is a normal behavior if Dynamic SST-PPis enabled in BIOS> Advanced> Power and Performance >CPU P state control and Intel® SST-PP will be hidden.

To install Intel® SST-PP you need to disable Intel® Dynamic SST-PP in BIOS.

  1. Disable Dynamic SST-PP option in BIOS> Advanced> Power and Performance >CPU P state control.
  2. Press F10 to save BIOS.
  3. Restart the system.
  4. Open BIOS and check if the option is enabled.
