Information about Intel Optane Memory H10/H20 series product compatibility
My system has other SSDs in it. Can I buy Intel Optane memory H10 SSD and expect it to work also?
This product requires additional system support than other standard SSDs. So this needs to be checked before purchasing and trying to add to a system.
The H series contains what can be viewed as 2 SSDs on one M.2 form factor
- The Intel® Optane™ memory side
- The Intel® QLC 3D NAND side
As a result, the BIOS has to contain the proper support to detect each portion of the device. They will be detected as two individual PCIe* x2 devices. These devices can be combined, or "paired", into a single volume using the Intel® RST driver and applications.
Check with the system vendor to confirm if the platform supports the Intel Optane Memory H Series products.
