Non-TLS End-of-Life Notification for Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT) and Intel® Standard Manageability
We would like to inform you about support changes with the deprecation of non-TLS network communications support from Intel® AMT and Intel® Standard Manageability. This change was originally implemented with our 13th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor launch (codename Raptor Lake). In an effort to help our partners scale their designs across 12th Gen Intel® Core™ platforms (codename Alder Lake), this change was back-ported to meet feature parity beginning with Alder Lake MR3 milestone WW40’22. Non-TLS network communications may be less secure than TLS network communications because non-TLS communications are not encrypted, while TLS network communications are encrypted. We removed the option to choose non-TLS network communications to help us provide more secure solutions to customers. We recognize this change may have an impact on our partners and customers and want to help ensure a smooth transition. If you are currently using non-TLS configuration for existing deployments, Intel recommends reconfiguring your Intel® AMT and Intel® Standard Manageability devices to use TLS based security before November 2022. See .pdf for supplemental guidance.
Intel technologies may require enabled hardware, software or service activation.
No product or component can be absolutely secure.
All product plans and roadmaps are subject to change without notice.
