Steps to re-enable the internal monitor on a laptop.
Description
The laptop monitor was unintentionally turned off and it's unclear how to turn it back on.
Resolution
These steps are applicable only for Windows® 10 & Windows 11*.
- Press Win+x
- Click Settings
- Access the System icon
- Click Display on the left side
- Click the Advanced Display settings link on the right side
- Select the display you want to restore in the Choose Display menu
- Turn off (restore) Remove display from desktop
- Close the Settings window
