Resolution
The Intel vPro® platform is a set of hardware and technologies used to build business computing endpoints with premium performance, built-in security, modern manageability, and platform stability.
The 3rd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors do not support Intel vPro® Platform Technology:
- Intel vPro Technology is intended to be used in clients and workstations only. It is not technology for server processors/platforms. For more information, refer to Processors in the Intel vPro® Platform.
- Some Intel® Xeon® processors, designed for client and workstation platforms, support platforms enabled for Intel vPro® Platform Technology. See Intel® Xeon® W Processor Product Specifications.
How do I know if the Intel® processor is eligible for the Intel vPro® Platform?
To find out if your processor is eligible for the Intel vPro platform, visit the product specifications page.
- Enter the processor number in the search box located in the upper right corner.
- Click to navigate to the processor specification page.
- In the left column, click Advanced Technologies, or scroll down to that section of the page.
