Description
- Driver cannot be loaded.
- General update routine always terminates with 0x8007012a error message.
Resolution
To solve this issue, Try the following steps:
- Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter.
- Check if Windows Update and Background Intelligent Transfer services are available and running.
- Press the Windows key+R to open Run.
- Type services.msc.
- Press Enter to open the Services app.
- Double-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service If the Startup status lists Stopped, click Start and then click OK If the status is Running, right click then select Restart.
- Double-click Windows Update.
- If the Startup status lists Stopped, click Start and then click OK.
- If the status is Running, right click then select Restart.
- Reset Windows Update Components.
