Where to Find the Thermal Design Power (TDP) for Intel® Processors

The new term is being used for TDP for 12th generation (and newer) Intel Processors, called Processor Base Power.

Description

Unable to locate the Thermal Design Power (TDP) information on the product specification page for the Intel® Processor.

Resolution

The Thermal Design Power (TDP) is the same as Processor Base Power. The Processor Base Power field is reported for the Intel® Core™ Processors 12th generation and higher, Intel® Core™ Ultra Processors, and Intel® processor.

The TDP and the Processor Base Power are both located in the Product Specification page under CPU Specification section.

Follow the steps below to find the TDP or Processor Base Power.

  1. Identify your Intel® Processor, or the processor you need to find the information for.
  2. Go to the product specification page.
  3. Enter the processor number in the Search Intel.com field located upper-right corner.
  4. Click the processor's link from the search results page.
  5. Once you are on the processor specification page, click CPU Specifications section.
  6. Look up the TDP or Processor Base Power information.

Here are two examples for i5-13600K and i5-11600K.
