Processor Population Rules for the Intel® Server Board S2600WF Family
Looking for Processor population rules of the Intel® Server Board S2600WF Family.
Single Processor Population Rule:
When using a single processor configuration, The processor must by installed into the processor socket labeled as "CPU_1".
Dual Processor Population Rules:
When two processors are installed, the following population rules apply:
- Both processors must have the same number of cores.
- Both processors must have the same cache sizes for all levels of processor cache memory.
- Both processors must support identical DDR4 memory frequencies.
- Both processors must have identical extended family, extended model, processor type, family code and model number.
- Processors with FPGA and processors with Intel® Omni-Path Fabric cannot be mixed
Note |
Processors with different core frequencies can be mixed in a system, given that the prior rules are met. If this condition is detected, all processor core frequencies are set to the lowest common denominator (highestcommon speed) and an error is reported. |
Refer to the Processor Population Rules section in the Intel® Server Board S2600WF system Technical Product Specification.
