Description
Wi-Fi download speed is slower than expected on machine with Windows 11*.
Resolution
To resolve poor download speeds in Windows® 11, follow this process steps to update the latest driver:
- Perform a clean install to avoid driver conflict with older versions. See Clean Installation of Wireless Drivers
- If the issue persists, check if the network configuration for the router or client needs to be adjusted.
- If the router and client are using different wireless standards, Wi-Fi speeds will be limited by the lower of the two standards.
- Set the correct wireless standard (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) following the instructions in the article Advanced Intel® Wireless Adapter Settings under Wireless Modes. Contact the Router manufacturer for assistance with router settings.
