Resolution

The error occurs when the Windows 11* feature named Controlled Folder Access prevents the Intel Graphics Command Center from saving to the default path C:\Users\[Username]\Videos.

This issue can be fixed in one of two ways, either:

  • Disable the Controlled Folder Access:
    1. Navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection
    2. Click on 'Manage settings'.
    3. Turn off the 'Manage controlled folder access'.

Or

  • Change the save path of your screen record in IGCC:
    • Open IGCC > Home > Capture > File location > Browse
    • Choose a different folder (e.g. Desktop)
    • Click select folder.

Other possible troubleshooting steps:

  • Update operating system to the latest version.
  • Install the graphics driver provided by the computer manufacturer.
  • Disable Intel GPU Hardware acceleration in settings.
  • Update the graphics driver to the latest version
