Steps to resolve the issue by installing a customer driver for Intel® Management Engine
After shutting the system down, the front panel light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and the back light of the keyboard stays on.
Download and run Intel® Management Engine Consumer Driver for Windows® 10 64-bit for Intel® NUC if not installed yet. Then, change the Windows power management setting for the Intel Management Engine Interface:
- Press the Windows key and X.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand the System devices section.
- Right-click the Intel Management Engine Interface and select Properties.
- On the Power Management tab, uncheck the box for Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
- Click OK.
- Close Device Manager.
Update your Intel NUC BIOS version by following the steps below:
- Identify your NUC using this link: Information Needed to Identify Your Intel® NUC When Requesting...
- Once you know your NUC model, go to Download Intel Drivers and Software, and search for your NUC model.
- Download the latest BIOS version listed for your NUC.
- Restart your computer.
