Resolution
Intel includes warning labels when necessary to comply with Proposition 65 and to inform that product contains one or more chemicals on the State’s list.
- Intel is committed to protecting the environment and complying with all health, safety, and hazardous substance laws and regulations. The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, known as Proposition 65, was adopted as a voter initiative in November 1986.
- Proposition 65 requires California to publish a list of chemicals known in the State of California to cause cancer and/or reproductive harm. The list, updated annually, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals, including a wide range of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals that include additives or ingredients in pesticides, common household products, food, drugs, dyes, or solvents.
- Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide a “clear and reasonable” warning before knowingly and intentionally exposing anyone in California to a listed chemical if the exposure exceeds certain thresholds established by the law.
