Summary

Clarification between Intel Adapters and OEM adapters.

Description

The BIOS displays one adapter as Intel 10G 2P X520 and the other adapter as Intel Ethernet Server Adapter X520-2.

Resolution

The Intel 10G 2P X520 is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and is not covered by Intel warranty, as Intel doesn't support OEM or LAN on Motherboard (LOM).

The Intel® Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X520-DA2 (X520-2) is a genuine ethernet adapter (add-in card) that is covered by Intel warranty and support.

See computer manufacturer support websites for support information on OEMs.
