How to Grant Access to Intel® Baseboard Management Controller (Intel® BMC) Keyboard, Video, and Mouse (KVM)/Console Redirection

When installing/running, the required java file to access the BMC console, redirection to the file is blocked by the system.

• Go to the browser (internet explorer) and launch the BMC web console using the server IP address.
• On Remote Control, you can select either of these options: Launch SOL or Keyboard, Video & Mouse (KVM)/Console Redirection.
• Select KVM/Console Redirection.
• Click launch.
• Download and save the java file requested.
• To run the file download and install Java Security Resources
• Open the configure java software.
• Go to the Security tab.
• On the exception site list, select edit list
• Select add and type the IP address visible at the time of running the java file downloaded from BMC (Ex: http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX)
• Select add, continue, and ok.
• Finally, select apply and ok.
• Now run the java file downloaded from BMC select continue.
• This should allow you to open the KVM/Console Redirection.
