Unable to create a partition from within the Intel® RAID RAID BIOS

Resolution

The partitioning of the volume is not within the RAID BIOS; rather, this is done during the Operating System (OS) installation process. In the case of Windows* OSs, this is at the Where do you want to install Windows prompt, prior to installing the OS:

  1. Select the volume.
  2. Click on New.
  3. Create the partitions, as needed, by selecting the size of each.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Once you create the partitions, select the one which you will install the OS into.
  6. Click Next
