Troubleshooting steps to resolve the error message.
During the Power-on Self Test (POST) system shows a 0x36 error and can't Boot.
- Reseat System Fans, make sure they are connected to the right fan header.
- Replace with known good fans (if possible)
- If the issue continues contact Intel Technical Support.
0x36 error message points to a Fan Failure or a Fan Tachometer Sensors on the BMC not working. This means the fan speed has dropped below its lower threshold.
A fan speed error on a new system build is typically not caused by the fan spinning too slowly; instead, can be caused by the fan being connected to the wrong header, a defective Fan, or in the worst-case scenario a BMC sensor defective on the Server Board.
